Teen girls copy cyber sex acts, teen psychologist says
ONE in five teenage girls deliberately accesses pornography on the internet, which is encouraging some to engage in explicit sex, according to a leading teen psychologist.
Adolescent psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg said some young girls were having oral, anal and group sex after deliberately or accidentally finding porn online.
"The illusion of anonymity on the net gives those girls a virtual dutch courage," Dr Carr-Gregg said.
"I do think this survey should be a wake-up call to parents. This is clearly evidence that the situation is getting worse." full story...
Schoolgirl hanged herself after 'minor row'
A schoolgirl who hanged herself after a minor row with her parents befriended four teenagers through the internet chat service MSN Messenger shortly before her death.
She had become very upset when her parents said she could not use the Internet. Shortly afterwards, she texted her virtual friends and said: "I cannot stay at home anymore. I can either run away or kill myself but I have nowhere to go."
